Phenomenologically Female (2023), is a surrealist approach to Judith Butler’s Phenomenology Theory. Done directly on the University of San Diego’s walls, this sixteen-piece figurative charcoal mural displayed gender through an expansive lens and proposed questions about gender traditions in a Catholic setting. Unconventional compositions showed details of the artist’s body as an abstracted form and expansive landscape rather than a rigid structure or typical female nude.
